Graphite has a wide variety of properties and uses. Prized for its electrical conductivity thermal conductivity softness chemical inertness heat resistance and lubricity. Its appli ions range from high performance lithium-ion batteries alkaline batteries conductive polymers refractories or brake pads.
Graphite. Talga has a number of wholly owned graphite projects comprising multiple deposits lo ed in northern Sweden. Graphite is a mineral composed exclusively of the element carbon. Graphite has the same chemical composition as Diamond which is also pure carbon but the molecular structure of Graphite and Diamond is entirely different. This causes almost opposite characteristics in their physical properties.
Polymorph of: Chaoite Diamond Lonsdaleite UM2003-04-E:C. Graphite usually occurs in flakes in metamorphosed rocks rich in carbon but it can also be found in veins and in pegmatites. Where large deposits are found it is mined and used as an industrial lubricant and for & 39;lead& 39; in pencils.
Graphite is a mineral of extremes. It is extremely soft cleaves with very light pressure and has a very low specific gravity. In contrast it is extremely resistant to heat and nearly inert in contact with almost any other material. These extreme properties give it a wide range of uses in metallurgy and manufacturing.

Graphite. Pure graphite is a mineral form of the element carbon element 6 symbol C . It forms as veins and disseminations in metamorphic rocks as the result of the metamorphism of organic material included in limestone deposits. It is an extremely soft mineral and it breaks into minute flexible flakes that easily slide over one another.
